A New York Elopement

From the moment I first saw the sneak peeks from this shoot on our Instagram, I have been OBSESSED!
From running along Brooklyn Bridge to the most gorgeous Sunset shots, this shoot will almost definitely get you saying YES to a city elopement!

While most brides are waiting it out, there are some brides that just CANNOT wait anymore.
If this is you, then here is some amazing inspiration for a city-style elopement shoot!

Images by Bold as Love Studios.
After COVID hit the scene and rocked the wedding industry to its core in 2020, as a photographer I began to see a trend in the influx of people wanting a wedding day experience regardless of the guest count. Elopements became trendy and the term “Micro-Wedding” was coined. But one of the things I noticed is that a lot of the elopements I saw portrayed in photography portfolios were more so adventurous elopements; in the mountains, Wooded Forests & National Parks….etc.  I was inspired to put together this shoot of having a chic and urban elopement because I wanted to show the other side of elopements, which is that that they don’t just have to be in the mountains and forests. And City Hall weddings & Elopements don’t have to be any less glamorous than a regular wedding.

We chose to work with real-life couple Jaime and Carissa ( Who just got married this past week on May 29th woohoo!) who had to forgo their original destination wedding plans due to COVID. And created this elopement scenario that allowed them to get to have that exciting and glamorous wedding experience they weren’t sure they were going to have this year!

I got to partner with a few amazing vendors from the New York & New England Area to make this shoot happen, and it turned out perfectly! I wanted the shoot to be somewhat 80s inspired and a little funky so I spray painted a boombox gold to get the perfect accessory for holding some of our beautiful florals! And Lauren from Custom Creations used the perfect colour palette to make the invitations feel modern overall, with a slight retro kick to them!

Thank you so much to all the magic makers who allowed Hooray to share this shoot with our readers.
It really looked like the most spectacular day!
