I fell in love with the magic of this shoot the first time it popped up on my Instagram feed, so it’s safe to say I was over the moon when Juné from Urban Lens Photography said YAS when I approached her about Hooray sharing it.
With the wedding world stuck in limbo at the moment, it is always a good idea to keep your options open and to explore new ways of saying “I do” – eloping in Namibia is just one of those ways!
But, that’s enough from me, Juné might be able to help you with this decision with her beautiful pictures of an amazing “Day on the Moon”
Want to know how an Elopement could look in Namibia while supporting local vendors?
Then get ready, cause this is what your elopement can look like!
We wanted to bring attention to brides on how they can Elope in Namibia without postponing their wedding
If your wedding got cancelled or postponed – again – because of COVID-19, my whole heart is with you. I can only imagine how difficult and heartbreaking it must be to make that call after so many months of dreaming about, saving up and planning for your perfect day!
I get it, and I am so sorry. I’ve put a lot of thought into trying to figure out the words for this post.
With everything going on in the world right now, it may be some time before we can gather our friends and family for a wedding in the way we’ve always done. I know that’s easier said than done.
This year, weddings have looked a little different. I’ve seen Zoom weddings, couples getting married in their backyard, elopements and sadly, some events being pushed off entirely– we have adapted to a new normal.
That said, I want to run a thought by you. What about a “two-step wedding’?
Elope now with your nearest and dearest, and celebrate with all your family and friends later by hosting a “Happily Ever After Party”, or a “We Do, Take Two”. What could be more fun than a wedding? TWO WEDDINGS!!
So what I am trying to say is… Elope now! Party later. I’ve put together a styled elopement shoot with some of the best vendors here in Namibia, to show our brides that you have other options. You have waited your whole life to get married to the person you love, why wait longer?
Namibia has breathtaking landscapes. Borders are slowly starting to open up, and Namibia is a low-risk country. With the most incredible backdrops like the Moon Landscape, Namib Desert, Spitzkoppe, Fish River Canyon, untouched beaches and dunes, Sossusvlei, Etosha National Park and even the Zambezi, Namibia is one of the most romantic places on earth! With some stunning lodges and remarkable vendors, you can be sure that you will have the most spectacular safari elopement you could ever dream of.
Elopements are here to stay throughout 2021 and most probably 2022.
Here’s a toast to all the couples getting married during a global pandemic: I hope your wedding is everything, and more, you have ever dreamed of.
Juné thank you so much for allowing us to feature this amazing styled shoot with our readers today.
I am sure it is going to inspire many brides!
