You know that I am a huge sucker for all things sparkly, so when I saw this amazing styled shoot by Transfigured Decor, my magpie eyes nearly popped out of my head and my heart rate went off the charts!
I HAD to share this shoot.

2020 has been a year that many will want to forget about, and 2021 weddings are going to be something new, different and exciting. I believe that couples have used this time to realise what matters, and know that they can be more true to themselves and what they would like more than ever. Weddings are going to be pushing boundaries more and more, and this styled shoot is a pure example of exactly that – pushing the boundaries is always a good idea!

Kaldin from Transfigured Decor brought together the most amazing team for this shoot and they are sharing more with us today about the look and feel of the day.

It’s Sunday, which means you can grab yourself a glass of wine and get lost in this iridescent world.

The thought process behind our magical shoot came from the inspiration of Holographic textures and tones (which we believe is going to be a huge trend in the coming months). We wanted to create something whimsical, dreamy and impactful. A true modern-day fairytale! We designed the backdrop structures to mimic the organic shapes of gems and crystals.

Pampas, wild foliage and an assortment of florals were used to create the spectacular floral design. Each colour used reinforces the holographic illusion. The meadow arrangements were built within the backdrop to create the illusion that the foliage had grown naturally amongst the gems of the earth. – Kaldin Pillay, Transfigured Decor

Hooray Side Note: Amazing, amazing, amazing! This setup is everything and more!

Hooray Side Note: McCarthy Wolff is known for their oh so dream-worthy designs, and this dress is a perfect representation of their style, I am obsessed with this blush beauty!

Barely blush bridal gown in sheer organza, with dramatic, whimsical peasant sleeves in nude tulle. The deep “v” cut bodice is fitted and entirely covered with floral lace featuring iridescent sequins, pearls and beads. The gown is finished off with a dove grey velvet belt as a contrasting accent accessory. – McCarthy Wolff

The table setting boasts a show-stopping iridescent palette table cloth. Likewise, our Glassware, cutlery, chargers and floral vessels BOAST iridescence!

The use of oyster satin napkins and white cotton tassels on each plate setting adds a softness to the overall design. We opted for ghost chairs which are impactful and complete the aesthetic of the table. – Kaldin Pillay, Transfigured Decor

Hooray Side Note: The tablecloth is my favourite part of the tablescape! It really is something else.

Hooray Side Note: Sasha from Sugar Coated Cakes is always dropping jaws with her intricate cake designs and her creation was the perfect representation for this styled shoot, tying all the elements of the shoot together seamlessly.

With the cake design, I wanted to capture the iridescent shades of Mother of Pearl tones found on the inside of certain seashells. Abstract splashes of chocolate and iridescent chocolate balls, and mother of pearl mosaic details for texture and interest. – Sugar Coated Cakes

Hooray Side Note: McCarthy Wolff showcased not only one, but two of their breathtaking designs, I mean just look at this beauty! It transports us to a dreamy world of organza!

A modern take on a classic Cinderella fairytale, this shimmering gown is made of ice blue organza, draped over the most sparkly silver fabric. The simple, elegant cut allows the fabric to take centre stage, and perfectly compliment the iridescent theme of the entire shoot! – McCarthy Wolff
It’s always our intention to create conversation pieces within a floral design. The variety of textures and colours are “eye candy”.  It allows one to be transported into another colourful world. The cooler-toned colour palette made the ocean a perfect location for the shoot. We upped the anti and drama by waiting upon the tide for some final shots. The result is something truly SPECTACULAR! – Kaldin Pillay, Transfigured Decor

Hooray Side Note: Gosh, I am SO glad you guys waited it out and got these shots, they are out of this world incredible and really made me fall in love with the shoot!

So, did you love it as much as I did?
I thought you would!

To the team, thank you so much for allowing us to share this amazing shoot with our readers today, I am sure it has made more than one person go “ooooh, wow!”

I know it has given me a couple of ideas for my 30th next year, iridescent everything, please!
