Bash Paperie, are a sister team of incredible creative woman who are just as gorgeous on the inside as they are on the out. We have become firm friends with Liesel and Gitta over the years as we have worked together on weddings as well as Hooray projects. They have supported Hooray Weddings from day one and I am so thankful for the friendship that has grown over the years.

As we cruise into the New Year, we’re looking forward to all the magic that 2019 will bring. Every year, couples look for hot and happening trends to make their day memorable, and stationery is no exception. With invitations being the first look for your guests, and on-the-day menus and signage following suite, your stationery is a great place to pull in some gorgeous new ideas and set the tone for your big day. We’ve rounded up a few of the top trends in stationery for the coming year…
1. HANDMADE
With unique colours and amazing textures, handmade paper is continuing to feature big time in 2019. We love the soft, deckled edges and dreamy tones of this hand-crafted paper, especially when combined with personalised calligraphy and delicate ribbon details.
2. TRANSPARENT
The clear trend has been huge this year. We’ve seen bride’s loving Perspex as an elegant signage option for a while and now we’re loving the use of clear and solid perspex as well as transparent paper in invitations and on-the-day items too. Perfect for creating interesting layers in bold, floral designs or clean lines for a minimal look.
3. ENVELOPE LINERS
Although more couples are choosing to send digital invitations, there is still a strong pull towards the tradition of sending beautiful paper invitations. There is something so special about receiving a gorgeous envelope, perfectly hand-addressed and just begging to be opened. But the real star of this show is the envelope liner, a big bold surprise for your guests and the first thing guests will see when they excitedly tear open your invite. Whether it’s a bold, floral artwork, sleek lines or a funky pattern, this little detail makes a big statement!
4. MONOGRAMS
Monograms are nothing new on the wedding scene, a staple design element which adds a traditional touch to the feel of your big day. These beautiful, delicate designs can be carried through from invitation to ceremony and beyond to photo albums and thank you cards. Interlocking monograms combine both your first initial and your partner’s first initial in a very unique and personal design. By incorporating a few personal icons along with the couple’s initial, and sometimes some truly amazing floral illustration, these crests begin to tell the unique details of the couple’s background and love story.
5. MOODY COLOURS
While muted greens and neutral tones continue into the new year, 2019 looks to be full of moody, darker tones too – deep forest green, rich burgundy and rust as the new queen of the metallic scene. As blush gives way to purple, navy hots up too as couples look for a formal but modern feel. Navy is the perfect partner for a full floral design, but also looks fresh and clean combined with white.
