December Wrap Up | Hooray Loves

I gotta be honest, December felt like a whirlwind.
How are we two days away from 2019? I remember thinking the Christmas decor in the shops in September was ridiculous and now, Christmas 2018 is OVER! *sob*

I feel like we barely connected or blogged this month, so much has happened, so much is happening, and there is so much excitement to share with you in the new year…but I will leave this all for another post, another time. In the meantime, here is my LAST post for 2018, the final Hooray Loves!

Hooray Loves is anything wedding or community related that has caught my eye during the month. It’s cute ideas and trends that I have fallen in love with, and want to share with you to inspire you for your own wedding!

So without further adieu, here are my top finds for the month of December, I hope that these bring a smile to your face and inspiration to your own wedding planning journey!

1. Love Actually Inspired Vows
   Love Actually is one of my favourite movies, one I particularly love binging in the Christmas season! So when I saw these super cute LA inspired vows, I couldn’t not share them with you. Super sweet and thoughtful, especially if you are worried about sobbing your way through your promises to your future spouse.

2. December Weddings
   December is notorious for a slew of engagements, but it seems that it is also the perfect time to get married! The celeb world celebrated, not 1 or 2 but 4 celebrity weddings this month! Our favourite being Revenge stars Emily + Daniel (Emily Van Camp + Josh Bowman) who finally tied the knot! Congratulations are also due to Nick Jonas + Priyanka Chopra (need we say more), Meghan Trainor AND Miley Cyrus + Liam Hemsworth, 10 years after they starred together in The Last Song they have said I do!
3. Detailed Veils
   Pretty little details have been popping up more and more and I gotta say, I am pretty obsessed! I am sure that 2019 will be featuring more of these pretty additions to the bridal attire. What do you think? *Picture credit, LHS to RHS: @festivalbrides, @ayah.k.photography
4. Watermelon Cake
   Of course I love anything that thinks out of the box or doesn’t conform to tradition. At Hooray, we love weddings and couples who are true to themselves and design a day true to them!
   So when I saw this watermelon cake, I just had to share! Who says you have to have cake, if you don’t like it? Smash a watermelon instead! *Picture Credit: Sara Rogers Photography
5. Christmas Wedding Cakes
   Okay, so if you MUST have cake and you are getting married over the festive period, then why not have a Christmas inspired wedding cake! 6. Happy Birthday Oh Happy Day!
   A very big CONGRATULATIONS to our dear friend and industry professional Jo on her baby, Oh Happy Day, turning 4! Not only has Jo built an empire, but she has also raised up a team of powerhouse woman who are fierce and dedicated and incredibly talented, bringing their own flair to the Oh Happy Day brand.
   Jo and team, congratulations on the last 4 years, we can’t wait to watch what you get up to in the future!
7.  I DO in the ocean
   Guys, this wedding had my jaw on the floor! How incredible!
   This couple took their guests out into the ocean, where they said their vows on surfboards surrounded by their closest family and friends. Is this something you would do? *Images by the amazing Taryn Baxter
8. Honoured by Junebug Weddings
   Let me say it again, Junebug weddings is a BIG DEAL.
   I would just like to congratulate dear friend Skillie from Kikitography on being awarded the honour of having one of Junebugs top wedding photographs for 2018. What an incredible honour and so deserving Skillie!

9. #HOORAYCHRISTMASBLING
   In case you didn’t know, we are running an Instagram competition which closes on 1 JANUARY  2019!
   So if you or your bestie, or someone you know has recently become a FEYONCÉ (see what we did there) you need to let them know that they could win one of our Bridal Boxes AND a Love Shoot from Christy Hosking Photography!All you need to do is take a engagement ring selfie and load it to your instagram using the hashtag #hooraychristmasbling, easy as pie!
